A Furever Kind of Love

Autumn Jolley is one of the most kind-hearted women I know. She sacrifices so much to save the lives of animals in need. When she contacted me about doing another session for her rescue dogs I was extremely excited! Little did I know that I would fall in love, with a sweet girl named Iris. When she came down the stairs to our studio she immediately went to my husband and curled up beside him on the couch. My heart skipped a beat and Jedidiah looked at me with the same longing in his eyes that I was experiencing. It was love at first sight! We currently have a lab/pit & a boxer/pit that were rescues and if we could have Iris she would be the perfect third fur baby for our family. Sadly, our neighborhood has a very strict two dog maximum policy and it breaks my heart. Our photo session was so much fun and there were lots of giggles and cuddles. I honestly didn't want any of them to go!

Iris and all of these pups are truly wonderful and they deserve a loving home!

With that said these dogs and several others need to find a furever home. So I urge you to search your heart to see the place where you may need a wagging tail to greet you every morning. If you are searching for the kind of love that is unconditional, 4-legged and furry then you need to contact Power Of The Paw. They also have a Facebook!

Dreams of Mexico

After flying in to Puerta Vallarta we headed up the windy jungle road to Lo De Marcos. We checked in to our studio apartment at Villas Del Rey and were greeted by the sun setting in a blaze of cherry red and amber. After spending a day recuperating from our travels on the beach we decided to venture out with Ally Cat Sailing Adventures to see if we could find some humpbacks. What a treat! We saw several humpback mommas with their new 12 foot long babies!!! I dove through several caves and soaked up the beautiful tones traveling through the water while Jed soaked up some much needed sun. Our time on the catamaran was definitely one of the main highlights of our trip!

The next day I toured La Vida Verde, which is an incredible organic farm and learning center that is teaching locals how to grow successful organic gardens of all sizes! David the co-founder walked through the farms explaining some of the challenges they've overcome and their sole desire to help the locals enhance their quality of life and economic development. They are not operating for profit and everything they do is to someday step back and let the locals continue on cultivating using their creative gardening techniques.

After taking a day to go downtown Puerta Vallarta to walk the Malecon we needed a day to relax on our quiet Lo De Marcos beach. Lenny Parra took us out on a wonderful horseback ride through a jungle path and we wrapped around back to the beach as the sun was setting. It was truly magical and exhilarating moving from a canter to galloping along the golden beach!

Needless to say we enjoyed our time in Mexico and we even got to document the love of Jeannine & Scott in their favorite escape! We will be back!
