Knowing Kelsey and Kendrick's story of being high school sweethearts made this day even more special! This warm spring day was perfect for a courtyard wedding at Barrister Winery. It was truly filled with love and laughter. Kelsey and Kendrick have an amazing group of friends who are solid in their faith. One thing that always touches my heart is when friends pray together. Down in the barrel room while we were waiting for the ceremony to start, Kelsey and Kendrick were surrounded by their wedding party while they all prayed for the beginning of their new life together. After the prayers had ceased they struck up a loud chant, "What time is it? WEDDING TIME! What time is it? WEDDING TIME! Any dogs in the house? Hoo hoo hoo hoo!" There were so many other incredible moments but here are a few highlights:
- When Kendrick took Kelsey's hand halfway down the aisle and kissed it
- When the train came by right after Kendrick finished his vows and Kelsey had to wait a good 5 minutes to start hers, which was a blessing in disguise
- Their first dance brought tears to many eyes
- Kendrick and Jenny really broke it down when their mother-son dance turned into Teach Me How to Dougie and several other classics
- And the insanely fun dance party that lasted until 11:30
